New Cat Toy Basket

I’m addicted to wrapping clothesline.  It’s easy and relaxing and fun!

I wrapped about 75 feet of clothesline the other night using four different color fabrics that complimented each other.

Today I went up to Sew Crazy and helped out a little bit with a class that was learning how to do this technique.  And while there,  I got this under the needle and started making the basket.

This one is going to be used to hold our cats toy stash.  (Unless mom steals the basket from them! )

The cats have a lot of toys. These were just what was in the shoe box we had been using.  I need to get what they’ve scattered under the couches still haha.

Bowls and Binding

Finished another bowl!  This one used a floral pattern on cream background fabric and stiffer clothesline.  I decided to make this one circular.

I also got a quilt back from the long arm quilter earlier this week and started the binding tonight.

This is all I can show for now!

One good thing about work slowing down for summer is I get a chance to get caught up on doing some crafts.  🙂

I have another quilt to bind after this one.  Two that need quilting. One that needs borders then quilting. A king size quilt that’s in the rows but not fully assembled.  Then a couple smaller prototype quilt projects that need to be assembled.  And another one that is in the planning stages.

Addiction?  Maybe…

Also,  I’m still working on the needle painted rose trio.  It’s going really slow.

Red, White, and Blue bowl

I finished the fabric wrapped clothesline red, white,  and blue bowl tonight.  It might have been finished yesterday but I had to rip out a few rounds due to not noticing the second bobbin was messing up.

Did that today then finished the bowl this evening.

The second picture is slightly blurry.  The stars show up nicely.

Definitely happy with this bowl. And I had enough clothesline left on this ball to cut enough strips for 6 matching coasters.  Wrapping those now!

And…Penny approves of the bowl!

Fabric Wrapped Clothesline

Time keeps running away!  Here it is,  June already.  Can you believe it?

I have 2 quilts at the quilter right now.  Both are gifts so I can’t post pictures yet.

I have been very busy with work but now that summer is coming things have slowed down a bit. So I’ve learned a new technique!  Fabric wrapped clothesline that can be sewn into bowls, coasters,  placemats,  rugs.  So far I’ve made 2 shallow bowls and two coasters. And have a current one going under the needle now which may be a placemat or may be a bowl. Haven’t decided yet.

Pictures!

This last picture is the current one being made.

Easy, fun,  and addictive!
