And Another Stash Buster Tote!

Yesterday while I was taking the day to just relax and do nothing (gotta love having a vacation day on a Monday), I did some more crocheting. Yeah I know… crocheting is more than doing nothing! But to me, crocheting is very relaxing, especially when I’m doing an easy pattern such as the Stash Buster Tote.

This is Stash Buster Tote #4, using Caron Simply Soft Eco in Plum Perfect as the solid and Caron Paints in Harlequin for the variegated. I did switch things up a little bit by making the V-stitch section be the solid and the bottom and top are the variegated. The pictures do not capture the colors well at all, but the closeup picture does a better job of it. Also not showing well in the picture is the one row of variegated that’s in the middle of the solid section.

So, have I convinced you yet with the pictures that YOU need to try this pattern? Go ahead, I DARE you! 🙂

Stash Buster Tote #2

The first Stash Buster Tote was so addictive, I had to make another one!

The first picture doesn’t show the colors all that well, so I had to take a second picture, closer up, to try to get the colors to show. I used Caron Simply Soft in Pagoda, Blue Mint, and Soft Blue. This one is slightly smaller than the purple one due to the amount of those colors I had available to work with, but I like how it turned out.

If you haven’t checked it out yet, you really need to pick up this pattern and give it a try! It’s easy, fast, and fun!

Stash Buster Tote

I confess, I did it. I really did it. I made… a Stash Buster Tote! Now, if you don’t know what that is, you’re probably asking yourself “what in the world is Shell talking about? A Stash Buster Tote? What is that?”

A Stash Buster Tote is a very easy and fast tote that has a wonderful and easy to read pattern, created by Sue Usiatynski.

How fast, you ask? Well, I printed the pattern, picked my 2 colors of yarn from the stash, sat down and started crocheting. With small breaks to talk with the hubby, order dinner, and pry the cat off my chest a few times (she loves to cuddle), I managed to make my tote in 3 1/2 hours. Yes that’s right, 3 1/2 hours.

You can purchase the pattern: HERE or HERE (you need to sign up for Ravelry to purchase from the second link).

And for your viewing pleasure, here is my first, but certainly not last, Stash Buster Tote!

I used Caron Simply Soft in Orchid and Violet. It took about 1 skein of the Orchid and 1/2 to 3/4 a skein of Violet. K hook.
